about the artist

As long as I can remember I’ve found solace in creating. I was drawn to the cathartic nature of allowing my internal world to find it’s way to understanding through the act of putting paint on canvas. I’ve always been acting out a version of self-exploration of emotion through creativity. While this curiosity led me to pursue education in Fine Art in my undergrad, I found myself being pulled towards art therapy after experiencing my own healing through therapeutic work. Knowing the healing impact of art directly in my own life drew me to share with others.

In my six years of experience as a therapist, I found myself processing the weight of the stories shared with me through creating art. I have been reminded over and over of the intense healing nature of both creating and in collaborating. After holding space for clients, I’m inspired by the stories that have been shared with me as well as the ones I’ve authored in my own life. I love to create work that reflects and releases the questions that have arisen related to this unique role I’ve been lucky to inhabit in people’s lives.

I now reside in Chicago where I make what helps me make sense of the world, myself and the pain and complexity people have shared with me.
